Running through the Tall Grass (for Ceilidh) was a track recorded for our Weight of the World album, but it didn't quite fit with the rest of the tunes and instead worked its way onto a limited release of B-sides. It was written as a tribute to singer Craig Mercer's long time best friend Ceilidh, a fun loving German Sheppard who lived a long happy life and spent a lot of time on the road with the band. The tune was recorded just upstairs from Long and McQuade on Cunard at Common Ground Studios, and the children's choir was from a local elementary school in Halifax. They were super fun to have in the studio and add a nice flavour to this tune that has celtic roots with a JSB twist.
